Oh, this generation

Oh, this generation

In silent whispers, I hope to save,
Drawing near to those who seek,
Yet denied a voice, I fade away—
Oh, this generation!

The old knew me well,
The wise showed my worth,
Sharing my knowledge with those who cared,
Laying my treasures for all to see—
Oh, this generation!

Born in transparency,
I was meant to conquer and free,
Bringing peace to those who seek,
And light to souls in the dark—
Oh, this generation!

My only wish is to love,
To embrace, to heal,
To unite, not divide,
To lead and liberate
From the greatest enemy—
Oh, this generation!

Persecuted, I am trampled,
My pure soul consumed,
My goodwill rendered powerless—
Oh, this generation!

My name, they have changed,
Twisted from its goodness,
altered my aim of service,
Made into a puppet—
Oh, this generation!

Oh, they’ve turned me into a fool,
Mockery I have become,
Soiled with dirt,
Crushed by gossip,
Manipulated by greed—
Oh, this generation!

Voiceless, I have become.
In both public and private spaces,
My counsel ignored,
Mouths afraid to speak,
Ears deaf to please—
Oh, this generation!

Still, I exist in plain sight,
in golden hearts, I will grow
Nurtured by brave hands,
Hoping the young will find me,
And know that Truth will always prevail.
